One of Elaine's proudest accomplishments is the homeschooling of her two children for several years in the 1990s, a time period they all agree was the best years of their family life. Aside from being an avid tennis player, Elaine is a longtime supporter of Canine Companions for Independence (CCI). The family has raised two Lab puppies, Riesling and Royce, for the organization that provides assistance dogs, free of charge, to individuals with disabilities. Elaine is also a dedicated supporter and volunteer at Independence House, a Hyannis organization that supports survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
