Bio
My childhood was spent in Wells, Maine, on my family's farm, not far from the Rachel Carson Wildlife Refuge. It was there that I learned to appreciate self-sufficiency, the history and construction of both new and historic buildings, and environmental awareness. I moved to the Pioneer Valley in 1978, carrying these values with me, and have proudly resided in the towns of Leverett, Shutesbury, Ashfield, Buckland, Orange, Whately, Colrain, and finally settling in beautiful South Deerfield where I currently reside. I attended local schools and colleges, and earned degrees in Environmental Science and Certified Dental Assisting. I worked for many years at the Yankee Candle Company™ as the Wholesale Division Customer Service Manager, then on to Motherwear, Inc. as their Call Center Operations Manager. I have also volunteered for town boards (Historical Commission-Chair, Historical Society-VP, Master Planning-member), and have offered local assistance to Conservation Commissions, land trusts, and Zoning Boards. Despite truly enjoying my past employment opportunities, I eventually decided that I needed a change. A friend encouraged me to pursue a real estate career, as I have always loved houses and enjoy working directly with people. Something clicked for me, and I decided to move forward with that career and have never looked back. I completed my real estate training with the Harris Real Estate School shortly thereafter, and I passed state and national exams to become a fully licensed REALTOR®. My continuing education training ensures that I am fully up-to-date with all required laws. I love my career! In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, home renovation projects, cooking, volunteering for various organizations, photography, hiking, and writing poetry. But most precious to me is spending time with my fiance Daniel and my children, our family and friends, and of course our two pups, Daisy and Charlie! I am detail-oriented, motivated, easy to communicate with, responsive, and ready to go to work for you. I market listings aggressively for my Sellers, and am untiring and persistent in my search for available properties for my Buyers.
