Michele Kelsey has summered and worked with friends on Nantucket since 1984. She received a degree in Human Ecology from College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, Maine, where she also studied land use planning. While in college she lived in St. John, USVI, studying the Strombus Gigus (Queen Conch). She also spent one summer participating in a field study conducted by The Nantucket Conservation Foundation in its effort to preserve the habitat of the island?s endangered Short-eared Owl. Michele moved to Nantucket full time in 1990, and married Lewis Kelsey, a finish carpenter from Maine in 1995. Michele enjoyed helping him with the actual construction of the home in which they raised their daughter Hannah, and son Garrett. She was an active participant in her children?s school activities and served as a Board Member of the Children?s House of Nantucket for six years, and a board member of the Nantucket Skating Club. Michele has worked at Jordan Real Estate as a broker for the past 22 years. She earned her Realtor GRI (Graduate of Realtor Institute) designation as well as her SFR (Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource) certification. Michele enjoys spending time with her family, skiing, cooking, vacationing at their home in Vermont, and enjoying all the beauty and serenity Nantucket has to offer. ? Mortgage Calculator ?
