About Laurence Wallace

Laurence is an amazing real-estate agent, who not only helped us purchase our dream home, but also stuck with us through a two-year search, during which he showed us close to 100(!) properties! When other agents would have given up long ago on a couple that was inexperienced with homebuying, he stuck with us. Laurence's style was a great fit for us - he is professional, courteous, laid back, and encouraging. As first time home buyers just learning how the process works, and in a competitive home buying market during the pandemic, we especially appreciated how he did not push us at all to make offers, or seem to make suggestions that felt "sales-y". In fact, that's what we liked most about working with Laurence - he was patient with us, never pushy, and never once seemed fatigued as he showed us many, many properties all throughout Westchester. He always communicated efficiently with sellers and their agents, found out more information about properties as requested, was thorough and clear, and made the process an enjoyable learning experience.

We had varying parameters for a while - looked at single-family homes, townhouses, and then, after deciding we weren't ready to leave NYC, finally settled on a co-op in Manhattan. Laurence helped us land an amazing apartment and navigate the co-op board application process with ease.

Laurence clearly loves working with first-time homebuyers and truly enjoys helping people find new homes to love. That attitude is expressed in everything he does.
We highly recommend him to any prospective homebuyer, and have already started referring him to friends. Next time we are looking to purchase a home, we will definitely be calling him. Can't say enough positive things - we are glad to have found such a great agent, and also glad to have made a new friend.

Laurence had endless patience with us. We knew the type of property we wanted, and were open to a large search area. We looked all over the western half of Connecticut, and Putnam and Orange Counties in New York. We covered tons of mileage with Laurence over four months. Laurence never flinch at the mileage we covered and he was willing to indulged my insistence on seeing "fixer uppers" that were beyond repair. He was level headed when the seller became difficult the evening before our close.

We also walked away from bidding wars on two houses in the process. Laurence supported our decisions and never pressured us to go higher on homes that weren't perfect for us. I am essentially grateful since we had spent a few days with an agent early on, who pushed us on their own listings that were at the very top of our price range and didn't fit our criteria at all.

In a world of "Likes" and "5 star yelp reviews" I thought it would be more appropriate to share a few words about working with Laurence Wallace from William Raveis Real Estate.

My wife Dijana and I were very lucky to have Laurence Wallace as our real estate agent. From the initial call to the first showing I could tell this was our guy. We needed an agent to help us but the market was flooded with buyers and agents in general were not as available as we would have liked, but then we found Laurence.
Let's face it we were a dime a dozen, a single income family with a baby on the way but he always made time for us and responded right away even though I know he was in high demand. We started our journey while my wife was 9 months pregnant, she gave birth to a healthy baby boy and we still needed a home of our own. Lawrence listened to our needs and wants and continued to search for us. He congratulated us during our brief hospital stay and was so patient as he lined up options for when we were ready.
The market recently has been competitive to say the least and we didn't want to get into a bidding war but homes were scarce and selling fast, sometimes in one day! Never once did he make us feel like a little fish in a big pond. So we cast a wide net of possibilities and he was as enthusiastic as we were for each find. We looked on both sides of the Hudson River, in different counties, at different homes of various shapes, sizes and prices. He was very candid about what each homes status was as far as other buyers and was even willing to show homes just to get a feel for what we needed and helped us negotiate bids. Honestly I felt bad making him work this hard but we had limited resources and wanted the best value for our money and so did he.
In the end he found us our first home, purchased from loving people where my son will take his first steps and in a metaphorical way so are we. Laurence is very knowledgeable in his field from condo to commercial property, he educated me on any questions I had. As my family grows and our needs change I know who I'm going to call for advice, Laurence Wallace and so should you.
