At that open house we got to talking about some of our specific needs and goals with respect to house hunting and Julie was excited and willing to jump right on the hunt with us. "Julie was referred to me by my colleague and I don't know if I've ever gotten a better recommendation. In our initial meeting with her I knew right away she was a fit. She is so friendly and open and took time to get to know who my husband and I were before diving into business. She asked great  questions which got us thinking about things we hadn't thought about before. At the end of the meeting, she suggested we drive by a couple of houses that potentially would be of interest to us, based on our conversation. I was impressed with this because it showed she knew her inventory and was aware of the market and that she had been listening to us. We spent three months going to open houses, private showings, and drive-bys. Julie was incredibly patient and understanding and always asked for our feedback after each one. We were on the MLS emails but she would proactively forward certain ones to us that she knew we might like. We were pretty locked into a certain area but Julie suggested we take our search a bit farther south, as we would find more of what we were looking for, both in budget and in size/condition. I was hesitant at first, but as we looked at more houses, the more I realized she was on to something! After looking at 25+ houses, we put an offer in. Julie was not able to attend the open house, so we had a long conversation with her as follow up, giving our input, stating our concerns, and asking questions. We contacted her the next morning to let her know we wanted to move forward with an offer and she coached us on what to offer and how the process would go. She moved quickly, getting documents to us for e-signature. She spent all day going back and forth with us and the seller's agent and we were given the good news later that night that the offer was accepted. She worked quickly to line up our inspection (another great referral!) before we left for a weekend trip, which went well. Julie herself was traveling overseas and she made herself available and kept us updated during the negotiation process. I have never experienced someone go so above and beyond! On closing day, Julie made it feel as special as I felt it was! Being a first-time homeowner is a big deal, and she played to that very well. We got our requisite front stoop photo with the Sold! sign and continued with the walk through and then onto the signing of documents. In coming across an issue later in the day, we communicated with Julie and she was on top of addressing it and handling it. Another above and beyond moment for sure. This long-winded review is to say that we couldn't have worked with a better realtor. Julie is incredibly competent, polished, and knowledgeable, but even better than that is that she has a way with people that makes them feel heard, understood, important, and like you're an immediate friend.
