Bio
Born and raised in St. Louis, Jim Houghton has a connection to Nantucket spanning more than 40 years. Growing up in the Midwest, Jim and his family made an annual pilgrimage by car to spend the summer months with a great aunt in Brant Point. Jim received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master’s degree in Sports Management from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst. Jim began his real estate career in 1997 with Jordan Real Estate, and received his broker’s license in 2005. In addition to selling real estate, Jim has enjoyed a 10 year career in sports marketing, working for professional sports teams in roles including Director of Communications, Marketing Director, and General Manager. Drawn back to the island by its unmatched natural beauty, historic charm, and rich architectural heritage, Jim and his wife Alix have called Nantucket home since 1994. They are the proud parents of daughter Anna, son James, and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Louie.
