The fund supports initiatives that: Preserve open space and farmland Protect water quality and natural habitats Maintain historic sites and structures Support community recreation and access to nature 💰 Funding Mechanism The CPF is primarily funded through a 2% or 2.5% real estate transfer tax levied on property sales within the five East End towns of Suffolk County: Southampton, East Hampton, Riverhead, Southold, and Shelter Island.
