For the first 5 months, we were getting very little traction. And we were frustrated. We were looking at homes all over New Canaan, and in adjoining towns as well. "There are not enough positive adjectives to describe Wendy and the job she did helping us find our new home in Connecticut. Although we are seasoned homebuyers, Wendy helped us traverse the unfamiliar Connecticut market and the many differences that come from buying a home here. From making sure we understood what owning a home with oil and septic systems require (we'd never experienced either) to what it means to have a shared driveway, my husband and I felt that we had the information needed at every step of the home buying process. One of the things we appreciated most was Wendy's actions BEFORE we arrived in Connecticut for our actual house hunting trip to help us narrow down our search. We would provide her with options that we liked and she would drive by or walk through the properties and then we would sit down and go through each listing. We talked on the phone for hours going over each house in detail, room to room, and she would provide additional input gleaned from her drive bys. These were some of our favorite parts of the home search! When it was time to arrive in Connecticut, we had our listings narrowed down and we made quick and efficient work finding the perfect home for us. Even better, we were able to leave town with an offer submitted. Once the offer was accepted, Wendy wasted no time in making sure every item necessary to closing was checked off. We appreciated her truly diligent work in areas, even as a seasoned homebuyer, we wold not have considered such as making sure permits for work done on the house were in order or pulled (they weren't) and making sure all other issues were dealt with. She put in so many hours to help us get to closing and was our eyes and ears on the ground in Connecticut while we wrapped up in Minnesota. Finally, we just plan like Wendy! Her gracious, thoughtful, friendly personality was so easy to work with. She has been without question our favorite realtor to work with - and that is saying a lot considering the number of times we've moved! See? Not enough adjectives! Finding the right real estate agent is tough, and we actually found Wendy by posing as buyers going to many open houses! After meeting different agents who we considered "a bit negative, uninterested, or simply too pushy" - we visited an open house with Wendy. She was knowledgeable about the house, positive without being pushy and interested in what we wanted. We knew we had found the right agent!
When we started the stressful process of listing the house, Wendy and her team leader, Hannelore Kaplan, proved to be very professional and helped us tweak our home to show it at its best. She was understanding of our needs when having open houses and made everything as stress free as possible.

"It's impossible to underestimate how important Wendy was to us for our home sale in 2018. I first met Wendy at an open house during the summer of 2014. Wendy was so friendly and warm I told her about our new home and future apartment rental.
