In 1989, 30 Years ago a vibrant young women journeyed from the island of Cape Verde to the United States of America, the land of possibilities, freedom and a chance to follow my dreams. As a self-motivator and an enthusiastic person with an eagerness to learn a new culture and my independence, I interviewed and successfully obtained the position as a Nanny to a ten year old young lady. My eagerness to learn and to assist others empowered me to enroll in school at SUNY Purchase College of New York. I studied courses in Business Administration, achieved my New York and Connecticut Real Estate Licenses and attended Westchester Community College along with obtaining my Personal Trainer and Zumba Instructor Certificate. While seeking more opportunities, I became a Co-Owner / manager of A.J.Financial Group in Connecticut. I am open minded and remain curious searching for new challenges that enhance my current skills. I am an effective communicator, detail oriented, focused, cooperative, responsible and friendly individual who continues to strive for excellence and to make a difference in all the lives I encounter.
