This small, classic building in the center of Greensboro village was formerly a one-room schoolhouse. It was moved to its present site around 1912, and at that time was converted for use as the town fire station and served as such for many ensuing years. An addition to the rear of the building expanded the space before permits were required in Greensboro; therefore, no septic system was installed at that time, nor can one be installed on the property at this time. There is a disconnected waterline to the building as well.Although its uses are definitely limited, it is a sturdy and attractive building in an excellent location.
