About Armonk…

Armonk, a hamlet in the town of North Castle, is in the northeastern sector of Westchester County. It is bordered by Connecticut to its east and is approximately 36 miles from midtown Manhattan via Metro-North. Whether by train, I-684 or more local routes, Armonk has easy access to all major sources of corporate employment and transportation. Westchester County Airport is 10 minutes away and international airports are within an hour’s drive.

A newly constructed and quaint plaza, Armonk Square, right in the center of town, is lined with boutiques and eateries and of course, a bank, enhancing the many of shops and excellent restaurants along the downtown area. The charming light posts with colorful floral arrangements swinging in the breeze and the sitting benches that line the center make this a very charming and upscale place to live, shop and visit. This very special hamlet still reflects its historical description as, “a place between two worlds”. Rural in nature yet sophisticated in style, Armonk offers itself as a bridge between city life and country living.

A small but special school district, Byram Hills offers a superior education for each child with an emphasis on high quality education with a rich curriculum. Children from Kindergarten through second grade attend Coman Hills Elementary School and grades three through five attend Wampus Elementary School. Sixth through eighth attend Harold C. Crittenden Middle School and Byram Hills High School serves grades nine through twelve. The Byram Hills School District serves North Castle and parts of New Castle, Mt. Pleasant, and Bedford and all of the schools are located in Armonk. The school district has been awarded the national “School of Excellence” designation from the US Department of Education.
