Q&A with Margie Berg. How long have you been in Real Estate? Interestingly, my first job out of law school was with a real estate law firm. Alas, when I graduated in 1989, the market had taken a turn, my real estate firm pivoted, and I wound up practicing bankruptcy law which wasn't what I had anticipated. I eventually moved on to a successful career in not-for-profit development for some time. When my son was a toddler, I decided to get my real estate license which brought me full circle! I've been selling real estate, full time, in MA and CT ever since.

What is your favorite thing about selling? Working as a realtor enables me to make a difference in people's lives, develop the most wonderful relationships, explore new communities, and collect all kinds of design ideas! I love what I do, and I love the fact that every day brings new opportunities and adventures. I loved the opportunity to help one of my clients build a home here while she was in CA! Most of all, I get to work with such interesting, talented and amazing people - both my clients and their families, and my colleagues.

Favorite spot/shop: Whoa - There are just so many! I love driving clients through Frederick Olmstead designed Forest Park and showing them the zoo, the duck pond, the ice rinks, the farmer's market?and there's just so much natural beauty here, and interesting areas to explore here. I love pointing out Prestley Blake's Monticello, in Somers, CT, and the magical vistas found from Hampshire County, through Hampden County, all the way down through Hartford and Tolland Counties. Not to mention spots along the CT river! And for foodies - Cold Harbor Seafood in Enfield never disappoints. Nor does, Calabrese Market in West Springfield, Small Oven Bakery in Easthampton, Auntie Cathy's Kitchen in Agawam, Esselon Coffee Roasters and Cafe in Hadley, Popover Bistro and Bakery in Simsbury, & Batch Ice Cream in Longmeadow/South Hadley - the list is endless - but available to all my clients!?🤗
