Community Involvement

Cape Cod has many options for becoming involved and being a part of the community. Currently I am a Big Sister for BBBS and have been for the last year. I am very fortunate to have been matched with a wonderful "Little Sis", and I love helping out in our community in this way. In 2017 I was honored to be a part of a team of runners who were able to raise over $100,000 for Veterans in need with the local organisation, "Heroes in Transition". This was personally one of the best accomplishments of my life as we ran over 36 hours with 20-30lb backpacks and special tasks to complete also. Each runner ran at least 30 miles during this race and knowing that we were able to give back to our local Veterans after everything they have sacrificed and endured made every mile worth it.

Personal

Cape Cod became my home in 2009 when I moved here from Dublin, Ireland. I had just finished college and the recession was hitting pretty bad in Ireland and I decided to make a life here. Over the past 10 years I have been able to live the "American Dream", from hard work and a willingness to learn and grow. From arriving here with a suitcase to now owning a home on beautiful Cape Cod, I am a living testimony to the "American Dream", and the opportunity this country offers. My family still live in Ireland and my husband and I live in Hyannis with our 2 Doberman, Swayze & Saoirse (Sare-Sha, which means Freedom in Irish.) We love to cook, spend time at our home, which has constant projects on the go at all times and travel back to Ireland & Europe when possible.
