Personal

Wanda Barry brings strength, heart, life experience, and determination to Linda's Team at William Raveis. Born in Staten Island, Wanda was raised by an incredible mother who grew up in Puerto Rico speaking only Spanish. Through hard work and perseverance, her mother learned English while raising five children` three daughters and two sons` and went on to become one of the top hairstylists in New York. That work ethic and resilience became the foundation of Wanda's character. At 28 years old, Wanda moved to Manhattan where she later met her husband, William Barry. During her years in New York City, Wanda built an impressive career in the financial world, working both in the back office and directly on the commodity trading floor at the World Trade Center for companies including Prudential Securities and ED&F Mann. She worked in the fast-paced crude oil trading ring as an order-clerk, an environment that demanded precision, confidence, and grit. At the same time, Wanda rode horses and embraced life with passion and energy. Wanda and her husband spent years enjoying their summer home in Old Saybrook, eventually making the Connecticut shoreline their full-time home. Together they raised two sons, Ryan and Connor. Ryan graduated from Clemson University and Connor proudly serves as a United States Marine. After dedicating over 20 years to being a full-time mom, Wanda is excited to begin a new chapter as a real estate agent with Linda's Team, drawn by its reputation for honesty, expertise, teamwork, and exceptional client service. Wanda is the kind of person who does not shy away from hard work or difficult situations. She is compassionate, driven, sharp, and ready to help clients navigate one of the most important decisions of their lives. When she's not helping clients, Wanda enjoys spending time at home with her husband, their 2 dogs Milo and Daisy, and her horse, Dream.
