Rich Murphy earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Boston College, where he developed a strong foundation in finance, investment analysis, market research, and business strategy. Rich also attended Rivers School, where he established the values of integrity, leadership, and community involvement that continue to guide his professional career. As a licensed real estate professional in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Rich completes all continuing education requirements established by the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons, including 12 hours of continuing education every two years. In addition, as a member of the National Association of Realtors, Rich completes mandatory Code of Ethics training every three years and regularly participates in professional development programs focused on market trends, technology, negotiation strategies, fair housing practices, and changes in real estate law. Giving back to the community has always been an important part of Rich Murphy's personal and professional life. Since 2015, Rich has been actively involved with the Pan-Mass Challenge, one of the nation's most successful fundraising events. Founded in 1980, the Pan-Mass Challenge is an annual bike-a-thon that donates 100 percent of every rider-raised dollar to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to support life-saving cancer research and patient care. Although health considerations have led Rich to step away from riding, he remains deeply committed to the organization's mission by supporting fellow riders, assisting with fundraising efforts, and helping friends and community members from Marshfield continue their participation in the event. Rich is especially proud of his involvement with the Marshfield Rams Cancer team, a dedicated group of local riders and supporters who have raised more than $1 million over the years. Through the Pan-Mass Challenge's gift designation program, funds raised by the team help support local cancer care initiatives through South Shore Health, ensuring that a meaningful impact is made within the South Shore community.
