"Martha was our agent two years ago when we bought our first condo. Then we were still in College, had no idea where to start, and where just looking for some economical housing. Fast forward two years and the two of us were about to both be graduated, married, and settled with our jobs; so it was time to move to a better location with a smaller commute. Without a doubt, Martha was the first one we called to get our condo sold! We were pleasantly surprised at what she thought we could get for it. Although it took us a few months to get ready to show, when we have her the greenlight she floored it and got us a buyer in no time! When it came to the final sale, we were not far off from her estimate and got a really nice ROI to wrap into the purchase of our new home! During and after our condo was sold, Martha stayed with us for a very difficult purchase process. There where so many homes on the market, but it doesn't mean they were for us; and she respected that. When we finally did find one we loved we negotiated with a contingency for the current home owner and waited. We quickly found out his agent was not very good and ended up wasting over a month for this house before backing out. In Fact, it is still on the market now (this was August/September) and we still would be sitting in limbo waiting for it if we had not moved on. We saw many many more homes while we waited to get out of the agreement on the first home, and many more after. Despite so many open houses and hit and misses, it was the home Martha picked for us to see that was the one! It was above our price range so we were hesitant. With a lot of push back she made it work for us! It took me a while to write this review because we were so eager to settle in after a whole summer lost to house hunting. We could not be happier, and honestly this house is way better than the first one. Martha is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet, and a wonderful agent to boot. She can roll with the punches and genuinely cares about you and the difficult transition you are about to make. She does anything she can to help you out and make it easier. For us, one of the best things about Martha is her flexibility, she is willing to go with you wherever to sell your home, or get you into a new one; and on your time. "Martha knows a ton about the whole process which was much appreciated for a nervous (and often clueless) first time home buyer. It took me over a year to find my dream home. She scheduled showings for me across multiple towns when I couldn't make up my mind. I absolutely can not make decisions under pressure which is sometimes necessary when a home you really want is inevitably gonna go quick. Martha was patient and doesn't try to persuade or rush me into anything. She also has contacts almost everywhere which was a huge help when I needed to shop for inspectors, insurance, mortgage brokers, closing attorneys and contractors. She offered recommendations with absolutely no pressure of having to take them. I had no clue what I was doing but she was a constant resource through the whole process. She's a strong negotiator and was able to secure a price I was happy with. As a fellow mom to a rowdy little boy, she understood the things that were important to me. "Without going overboard I'm not sure I can sufficiently describe all the effort, care and assistance Martha provided to me and my family with the purchase of a lake house in Summer Village, Westford. My elderly grandmother was looking for a cottage and Martha met us down at the complex multiple times to view some units. It's a seasonal community and officially closed for the winter but Martha had no problem getting on the phone and making the necessary arrangements to get us into the cottages we wanted to see. It was a process but she was there to help us every step of the way. Given my grandmother's age, she was completely understanding and respectful of my involvement even though it would sometimes create a little more work for herself. What should have been an easy breezy cash deal came with some unexpected hurdles due to some unresponsiveness of the listing agent, stubborn sellers, an indecisive senior and some estate planning but Martha continued to have a positive attitude even when my grandmother was overwhelmed and nervous by it all. The sale/closing negotiations were a little back and forth but Martha was honest and direct with all her communications. Leading up to the closing there were some last minute issues with the seller and walk through specifications and Martha stepped right in and went above and beyond what I would expect from a real estate agent, even helping me shovel and sand following a snow storm. She was determined to get my grandmother moved in and to help in ANYWHERE she could. On top of that there was some unwanted furniture left behind that my grandmother decided she didn't want to keep and Martha came down with a truck and had it all removed. Above and beyond!!! She cared enough to keep a difficult senior happy and assured even AFTER the closing. I'm so happy we connected with Martha during our hunt for the perfect summer cottage. With all the phone calls, texts, emails and meetings over the last few months, her perceptive daughter inquired if we would remain friends after the sale and I sure hope so!"
