"There are not enough stars to describe our experience with Leslie. As first time homeowners motivated to move to greener pastures (literally) from Manhattan, she was informative, encouraging, and incredibly kind about helping us navigate the process. She helped us foray into real estate without pressuring us to settle, she helped us decide on a location without ever pushing us outside of our comfort zone, and she ultimately helped us find our dream first home in a very quickly-moving, popular, and demanding market. No question went unanswered and no concern was ever invalidated. She acted as an honest and reliable friend in the most professional of ways and we consider ourselves lucky to have gone on this journey with her. When we move to our forever home, Leslie will one hundred percent be getting a call to be our listing agent (if she'll have us again!) and I would 100 percent recommend her for anyone looking for someone patient, practical, and persistent to help them find a home."

"Were it not for Leslie, we would not be in the home we bought. We became aware of it before it hit the market, previewed it for us same day, sending videos and pictures, and by the end of that weekend we had an accepted offer. But aside from that, Leslie has extensive knowledge of the Stamford market and was always willing to give her frank POV, indicating when she felt homes were overpriced or in suboptimal locations. We loved working with Leslie and recommend her without reservation."

"Leslie is great to work with and an expert in the Stamford CT. area. If you are looking to buy or rent she should be your first and last call. She really cares for the needs of her clients."

"We had the pleasure of purchasing a home through Leslie. New to the housing market (we were both first-time home-buyers), we were apprehensive about the process and were cautious about making a bad investment. Leslie came highly recommended to us by two sets of cousins, both of whom had used her for their homes.

We approached our first meeting with much confusion and were greeted with nothing but patience, transparency, and accommodation. After outlining the specifications that we desired, Leslie was quick to produce a number of listings and was willing to meet with us early on the weekends and after work (we both work in New York City and were commuting to Stamford for the viewings). She was tolerant of our mind-changes; what we thought we wanted was nowhere near what we ended up buying. Leslie was thoughtful about the feedback that she would give and was honest during the process. At no point did we get the feeling that anything but our own best-interests were being prioritized.

In conjunction with the home finding process, Leslie was also extremely helpful in providing guidance on affordability, financing, and the state of the real estate market. She was knowledgeable about neighborhood price points and resale values and calculated when considering estimated offers and the amount of work that should be done to a house when considering future resale value. A resident of Stamford herself, she was well-versed with the many areas and neighborhood assessments.

We were lucky enough to find a home that we both really loved and Leslie was terrific throughout the offer and closing process. We were not the only couple interested and Leslie did a tremendous job of navigating the competing offers and still finding the right value. Upon acceptance of our offer, Leslie was very supportive, putting us in touch with her extensive network (closing attorney, home inspector, etc.) and even provided ideas about how to remodel the aspects that we wanted to change.

We still keep in touch with Leslie, having asked questions about the existing housing market and resale value with our remodel. We would highly recommend Leslie: she is fair, knowledgeable, accommodating, and friendly. She removed the stress from our experience and even made it enjoyable for us, and we plan to use her again if and when we find ourselves selling or buying in the future."

"As first time homebuyers, my wife and I entered the process very guarded because we knew if we weren't careful, we could easily get in over our heads. Our first go-round was with an agent referred to us through my father. Although at first she seemed 'nice', at the end of our first showing, we were bombarded with paperwork, what seemed like contracts and over-the-top real estate jargon that only served to make us leery and confused. Not feeling comfortable, we continued our search and encountered 5 other agents between Westchester and Stamford. After numerous showings, we were growing really un-fond of real estate agents. We felt our needs weren't being addressed.. Communication was often poor.. and in many instances our time was being wasted taking our frustration to new levels.. Then my wife Priscilla met Leslie McHugh at an open house and for the first time I saw her excited about an agent. When I met Leslie, she displayed none of the characteristics we were getting used to with the others. Instead she was welcoming, compassionate and most importantly didn't mind dealing with my wifes long list of 'must haves' hehe. After 2 showings we signed a committment letter giving her sole responsibility in finding our first home.. no easy task I might add. But Leslie was a rockstar. Nothing rattled her. She dealt with some of most seasoned veterans in the biz and continually went to bat for us. She proved to be creative, resilient with a calming demeanor that helped us get through one of the most nerve wracking experiences of our lives. That being said, our family now lives on one of the nicest blocks in Stamford in a house we can actually afford and generous neighbors who go above and beyond to make us feel welcome. After 4 months in our new house and a dramatic upgrade in quality of life, we would wholeheartedly recommend Leslie to anyone in this area looking to buy. I don't believe there is an agent out there who can equal her level of compassion and customer service especially if you are a first time home-buyer. Thanks again Leslie!!

"It was a great privilege to have Leslie as our listing agent. She is very honest, hard working, reliable and always informs her client the progress of the property. I will highly recommend her to other people.

"Leslie was amazing when I was looking for a place to rent in Stamford. She is knowledgeable about the area, its sub-areas, and the possibilities in each place.

She took me to many places, plus touring the city, to make me feel comfortable with my decision. She had appointments made in advance and asked key questions to the owners to understand if it was the right place.

I especially appreciate that she was considerate about my particular needs / tastes (potentially getting a dog, close to downtown, easy access to get to work, parking)."
Damian Kohan (Stamford, CT)

"Leslie was a pleasure to work with in finding our home. She was patient, understanding and answered all of our calls and emails in a timely manner. It was Leslie's suggestion on keeping an open mind and looking at condos, how we found our home that we absolutely love. We have referred her to family and friends. We look forward to working with her in the future."
Krystle Rodriguez (Norwalk, CT)

Kara Ackerman (Stamford, CT)

"Leslie was great. Very smooth transaction. I have already recommended her to my friends."

"Leslie gave us a lot of very good advice about preparing our house for sale. She was right on about how to stage the house and the price to ask for. She went out of her way to be available for actions where neither we nor the buyers agent was available. She was awesome! In addition to the above, she was proactive in providing continuous feedback and next step updates. She assisted with overall new home ownership preparations. She definitely worked hard for us and we enjoyed every minute of working with her."

"Personal service with very helpful advice and guidance. We were not just a sale, but felt a true interest in what we wanted. No rushing us into something to buy. Very courteous."
