Education

Eric was born on the south side of Chicago and grew up in LaGrange Illinois. Attended Lyons Township High School where he played many sports and ended up with a football scholarship to "tiny" Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill. Unlike Kenny Anderson, another Augustana graduate, who went on to play for the Cincinnati Bengals, Eric knew that the NFL wouldn't be calling so he left for Europe his senior year.

Experience

After graduating from college, Eric went to work for the John Deere Company as a marketing/financial service rep. Responsibilities included calling on the John Deere dealerships in the state of Michigan in the construction and logging equipment division. That's when the auto recession hit in the early 80's and the economy, especially in Michigan, went sour. Eric ended up working as a collection/repo man and set a record for John Deere for the most equipment repossessed in one year.

After a serious knee injury, Eric moved to Texas and ended up in Houston. The economy in Texas was booming and he worked as a manufacturing rep for Tension Envelope Corporation. His customers were companies that primarily used tons of envelopes for billing and direct marketing such as The American Red Cross, American Express, Exxon and Shell Oil to name a few.

Personal

While in Houston, Eric met his lovely wife Charlotte. In 1999 Eric, Charlotte and their daughter Megan moved to Cape Cod to be close to family here in Harwich. Eric and Charlotte are now blessed to have two wonderful grand children too, Aiden and Alyssa. Eric enjoys spending his time outdoors and is an avid bowhunter.
