Bio
After teaching high school mathematics and ESL for 28 years, it was time to retire and pursue other interests, which has brought me back to selling real estate full-time, a career I began in the late 1990’s. Trained as a farrier after I got out of the 82nd Airborne Division, I eventually found my way to the Pioneer Valley in 1981 and worked in the Williamsburg blacksmith shop, making door hardware. If one lives in the Valley long enough, you’ll eventually go to college, which is what happened to me. I earned an Associate degree at HCC and transferred to UMass where I stayed until I earned my master’s in education. I began as an ESL teacher and finished my teaching career as a high school math teacher in West Springfield. My wife and I have lived in many towns in the Valley, and recently moved to Northampton from West Springfield, where we raised our two daughters, Rose, and Annie. My wife, Shaun and I hike quite a bit, and love hiking Mount Tom. I am an avid bicyclist and enjoy road, mountain and fat biking, which I recently discovered.
