About Carl Van Demark

Personal

Carl has lived in the Lower Hudson Valley for most of his life. For almost 25 years, Carl and his family have resided in Katonah where he and his wife raised their two daughters. Both daughters graduated from John Jay High School, one in 2013 and the other in 2017. Carl and his wife are also proud grandparents and enjoy spoiling their granddaughter very much! Carl likes puttering in the garden and working on household projects with his wife. He is also a big football fan, both college, where he enjoys tailgating at West Point, and professional, where he is a self-described "long suffering" NY Jets fan.

Experience

In Carl's previous life, he spent about 10 years working in various accounting and financial systems positions at IBM and over 20 years practicing corporate law in New York City, where he learned to be responsive and attentive to his clients' needs.

Community Involvement

Carl is very active in the community. He is a member and past Warden of St. Luke's Church in Katonah and also a member of the Katonah Chamber of Commerce, Historic Hudson Valley and the Westchester Historical Society.

Education

Carl received a Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University, a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Connecticut and a Juris Doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School.

Carl is a member of the National Association of Realtors, Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors, One Key MLS and the American Bar Association. Carl is also a certified Pricing Strategy Advisor and a FINRA Arbitrator.
