Community Involvement
Steve has been involved with Special Olympics Connecticut for over eighteen years where he is the Head Coach for the Darien Lions Club Sailing team. He also coaches Skiing and Snowshoeing as well as bowling. Steve is also a Certified Sailing instructor and past commodore for The Society for the Education of American Sailors. SEAS is an all volunteer community sailing program in Westchester County. He is on the board of governors at Cedar Point Yacht Club. You can find Steve at Cedar point YC in Westport most Wednesday nights sailing on “expresso”. Steve’s hobbies include golf, photography, woodworking and baseball. Other organizations include: Mystic Seaport, Save the Sound, Soundkeeper Cedar Point Yacht Club and Stamford Power and Sail Squadron.
Personal
Steve was Born and raised in Westchester County NY, where He Attended Stepinac HS in White Plains. He has lived in White Plains, Sleepy Hollow, Tarrytown, Yorktown and Montrose, New York before moving to Norwalk. Steve joined IBM after completing his College Education. The majority of the 25 Years he spent at IBM Steve was a Customer Service Representative. There he learned the value of strong client relationships. He also played a large role in the success of his team as an educator and trainer. Steve has been a part of lower Fairfield County for more than twenty years but officially moved to Norwalk in 2003.
