In 1974, Bill Raveis borrowed $2000 from a bank and launched William Raveis Real Estate in an office above a grocery store. Within 10 years, he had established a mortgage-banking company, an insurance agency, an award-winning relocation company and became the largest independent real estate company in Connecticut. By 2006, the company became the largest family-owned real estate firm in New England and was recognized as the 7th largest independent Broker out of 118,000 real estate firms in the nation. Bill Raveis has earned national honors and respect because of his foresight, technological advancements and innovative accomplishments. He was chosen Entrepreneur of the Year from Ernst & Young; was selected as one of "The Most Admired Individuals for 2000" by Real Trends Magazine; and is the recipient of numerous honors as well as leadership and community awards. He received a BS Degree in Business Administration from the University of Dayton.
Charles Ferraro - President, William Raveis Mortgage
As President of William Raveis Mortgage, Charlie oversees corporate mortgage banking operations in CT, MA, RI, and NH. With 30 years in
the real estate business and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the MA Mortgage Bankers, Charlie brings a wealth of experience and contacts
throughout the industry that permit our mortgage company to be on the leading edge of innovation and expertise. Charlie received a BA in
Economics from Fairfield University and an MBA in Finance & Marketing from Babson College.
Chris Raveis, Executive Vice President/ Managing Partner of William Raveis – Massachusetts, LLC
and William Raveis – New York, LLC; Corporate Secretary of William Raveis, Inc.
Chris is responsible for all operations and sales in MA and NY. He spearheaded the company’s Massachusetts expansion in 2003 and has since established 20 offices, making William Raveis not only the fastest growing real estate company in MA, but also the largest independent company in MA with over 500 sales associates and employees. In 2009 Chris opened the Rye and Harrison offices in Westchester County, New York. Prior to his position in the family business, Chris headed the national sales team for Home-Link Services, Inc. Prior to Home-Link, Chris worked with Chicago based Jones Lang LaSalle, where he was named by the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties as one of the top five commercial brokers in the Metro Atlanta area. Chris is a graduate of Hobart and William Smith College.
Raymond Cashen II - General Counsel & Senior Vice-President, Settlement Services
Ray has served as a legal counsel for William Raveis Real Estate affiliated companies since 2000. In 2003, he became General Counsel for William Raveis Real Estate as well as Senior Vice-President of Settlement Services where he oversees William Raveis Insurance and the William Raveis Attorney Network. Prior to joining William Raveis Real Estate, Ray practiced law in Washington D.C. with the firm of Webster, Chamberlain & Bean. He received a BA from Brown University and a JD from Tulane University Law School, Cum Laude.
Alain Pinel – General Sales Manager, Massachusetts Alain is responsible for all sales offices in Massachusetts. A real estate entrepreneur for 32 years, he has founded a number of successful business ventures, including Alain Pinel Realtors of Silicon Valley, CA, one of the top 10 largest real estate firms nationally operating in affluent markets of California. In addition, he has founded Imminence, one of Europe's first regional MLS systems which is now the model utilized by French Realtors. Mr. Pinel is the former Vice President of FIABCI in Northern California; former Vice President of The French-American Chamber of Commerce in Northern California, and was Editor-in-Chief of L’OUEST INDUSTRIEL, a monthly business magazine in France.
Ryan Raveis - Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, William Raveis Mortgage
Ryan oversees the sales of William Raveis Mortgage in CT, NY, MA, RI and NH. In his tenure with the Family of Companies, William Raveis Mortgage has exceeded its 25+ year historical record sales volume. Ryan began his career with the company in 1998 as a William Raveis Mortgage Consultant, where he was a top producing loan originator. Ryan rejoined the company in 2006 after working with Forrester Research, a provider of strategic management consulting and research services in Cambridge, MA. He received a BA from Williams College and an MBA from Babson College, Magna Cum Laude, in Finance & Entrepreneurship.
John Davis - Executive Vice-President/Chief Financial Officer
John joined William Raveis Real Estate & Home Services in the mid 1990's as Controller and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in 1999. He brings with him almost thirty years of progressive financial experience including 20 years of real estate experience. He is responsible for the financial administration of the Raveis Family of Companies. John obtained his undergraduate degree from Iona College, his MBA in Finance from Sacred Heart University and received his CPA from New York State.
Bill Gamelli – Senior Vice President, Customer Services A member of the Raveis team for over 23 years, Bill oversees the operations of the company divisions: Exceptional Properties, eCommerce, Relocation, New Homes, Marketing, Human Resources and Career Development. He has served in a variety of roles within the organization including Chief Financial Officer, Senior VP of Corporate Human Resources and Vice President of Career Development. Bill is a business and life coach and a graduate of Coach University. He received his BA in Business Administration from St. Michael’s College in Winooski Park, VT.
Kent Hanley - Executive Vice-President, Sales - CT
Kent began his career with William Raveis in 1985 as a Loan Officer at William Raveis Mortgage. Since that time, he has headed up the Commercial Lending Division and the Property Management Division. He additionally served as a Sales Manager and then Regional Manager. In 1999 he became General Manager of the real estate company in Connecticut and in 2007 was promoted to Executive Vice President, Sales for Connecticut. Kent is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Business.
