In 1974, Bill Raveis borrowed $2000 from a bank and launched William Raveis Real Estate in an office above a grocery store. Within 10 years, he had established a mortgage-banking company,
an insurance agency, and award-winning relocation company. In 2012, the company was ranked the #1 Family-Owned Real Estate Company in the Northeast, the #3 Largest Family-Owned Real Estate Company in the United States and the 8th
Largest Real Estate Company in the Nation based on 2011 sales volume by Real Trends 500. Bill Raveis has earned national honors and respect because of his foresight, technological advancements and innovative accomplishments. He was chosen Entrepreneur of the Year from Ernst & Young; was selected as one of "The Most Admired Individuals for 2000" by Real Trends Magazine; and is the recipient of numerous honors as well as leadership and community awards. He received a BS Degree in Business Administration from the University of Dayton.

the real estate business and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the MA Mortgage Bankers, Charlie brings a wealth of experience and contacts
throughout the industry that permit our mortgage company to be on the leading edge of innovation and expertise. Charlie received a BA in
Economics from Fairfield University and an MBA in Finance & Marketing from Babson College.
Chris Raveis, Managing Partner of William Raveis – Massachusetts, LLC and William Raveis – New York, LLC; President of William Raveis Affiliates, and Executive Vice President and Corporate Secretary of William Raveis, Inc
Chris is responsible for all northeast operations and sales in MA, NY, RI and NH. He spearheaded the company’s expansion outside of its home state of Connecticut in 2003 and has since established 43 new locations, elevating William Raveis as the largest family owned as well as privately held real estate company in the Northeast. The combined offices outside of CT now have over 1000 sales associates and employees. In both years 2010 and 2012 the Massachusetts entity was voted as the #1 "Best Places to Work" in Massachusetts by the Boston Business Journal, beating global entities such as Google, Microsoft, Accenture, and Ritz Carlton. Prior to his position in the family business, Chris headed the national sales team for Home-Link Services, Inc, a venture capital backed internet and service based company. Prior to Home-Link, Chris worked with Chicago based Jones Lang LaSalle, where he was named by the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties as one of the top five commercial brokers in the Metro Atlanta area. Chris is a graduate of Hobart and William Smith College.
Raymond Cashen II - General Counsel & Senior Vice-President, Settlement Services
Ray has served as a legal counsel for William Raveis Real Estate affiliated companies since 2000. In 2003, he became General Counsel for William Raveis Real Estate as well as Senior Vice-President of Settlement Services where he oversees William Raveis Insurance, The Kelsey Company and the William Raveis Attorney Network. Prior to joining William Raveis Real Estate, Ray practiced law in Washington D.C. with the firm of Webster, Chamberlain & Bean. He received a BA from Brown University and a JD from Tulane University Law School, Cum Laude. Ray is a licensed attorney in Connecticut, New York, District of Columbia, and Maryland.
Ryan Raveis - Executive Vice President, William Raveis Mortgage
Ryan oversees the sales of William Raveis Mortgage, LLC in CT, NY, MA, RI, and NH. During his tenure, William Raveis Mortgage, LLC has exceeded its 25+ year historical record sales volume and been recognized as one of the Top Places to Work by both the Commercial Record and Boston Business Journal. Prior to rejoining the family business, Ryan held positions with a top strategic management consulting and research services firm, as well as a venture-capital backed internet services firm, where he, in coordination with Freddie Mac and Lending Tree, led the implementation of the nation's first broker-direct online mortgage platform. Ryan received a BA from Williams College and an MBA from Babson College, Magna Cum Laude, in Finance & Entrepreneurship.
John Davis - Executive Vice-President/Chief Financial Officer
John joined William Raveis Real Estate & Home Services in the mid 1990's as Controller and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in 1999.
He brings with him almost 35 years of progressive financial experience including 25+ years of real estate experience.
He is responsible for the financial administration of the Raveis Family of Companies. John obtained his undergraduate degree from Iona College, his MBA in Finance from Sacred Heart University and received his CPA from New York State.
Bill Gamelli – Senior Vice President, Customer Services A member of the Raveis team for over 23 years, Bill oversees the operations of the company divisions: Exceptional Properties, eCommerce, Relocation, New Homes, Marketing, Human Resources and Career Development. He has served in a variety of roles within the organization including Chief Financial Officer, Senior VP of Corporate Human Resources and Vice President of Career Development. Bill is a business and life coach and a graduate of Coach University. He received his BA in Business Administration from St. Michael’s College in Winooski Park, VT.
Kent Hanley - General Manager & Executive Vice-President, Sales - CT
Kent has served as the Executive Vice-President, Sales for William Raveis Real Estate since 2007. He began his career with William Raveis in 1985 as a Loan Officer at William Raveis Mortgage and, since that time, has headed up the Commercial Lending Division and the Property Management Division, served as a Sales Manager and then Regional Manager, and in 1997 became General Manager of William Raveis Real Estate before ultimately being promoted to his current position. Kent is a member of the Board of Directors for the Realty Alliance and the National Association of REALTORS®. He is also an active member of the community and is involved with the William Raveis Charitable Fund, Inc. and the William Raveis Breast Cancer Research Fund. Additionally, Kent is a committee member for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's Dinner of Champions and a volunteer for The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in Connecticut. Kent is a graduate of the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
